IT Architect Senior ( Java / Cloud )

Position Responsibilities/Requirements GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES o Candidate will be considered to work with our small dynamic group of senior architects responsible for setting architecture direction across our next generation product development. o Expert software development expertise required with an emphasis but not limited to Java oriented languages and technologies. o Cloud enablement acumen is important to emphasis automation, CI/CD, scale and resiliency of our solutions. o Candidate should possess strong leadership skills to both collaborate on technology direction and to drive the preliminary rollout of transition to component delivery teams. o Acts in an Enabler role to support the injection of technology solutions into existing development solutions. o Ability to provide and direct reference implementations of target enterprise technology solutions. o Ability to document and publish appropriate architecture principles and standards, position papers, blueprints, best practices, patterns and frameworks. o Defines, constructs, supports and provides training for enterprise frameworks. o Defines and maintains a library of functional component models within and across FIS product lines. o Documents functional product solutions for key FIS product strategy and product management initiatives leveraging defined functional component model libraries and the defined product line architecture roadmap. o Documents functional product solutions for key FIS financial services sales opportunities leveraging defined functional component model libraries and the defined product line architecture roadmap. o Maintains a catalogue of reusable functional application components consumable across applications and product lines. o Reviews functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements. o Acts as tie breaker on design decisions. o Documents and communicates opportunities to leverage inter-project synergies, application and enterprise software or infrastructure asset re-use and opportunities to expose application assets for enterprise consumption. o Communicates system architecture to technical and business audiences. o Other related duties assigned as needed. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Post-graduate education desired. Requires the following experience or equivalent combination of education and experience as a minimum to enter any level of IT Architect job: o Must have led technology direction for multiple projects and led or presented architecture concepts outside realm of immediate workgroup o Demonstrated experience as application development system designer or technical lead on many "very large", i.e., 10,000 hours or more spanning more than 6 months projects o May also require one or more of the following experience requirements: o Five or more years working in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment o Five or more years demonstrated experience in working with relational (and/or document) databases o Five or more years demonstrated experience in modern software application technologies o Successful design and implementation of applications in a shared SaaS environment o Experience in concept of cloud native design patterns o Experience in building On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP), batch and reporting systems o Experience in using Unified Modeling Language (UML) for Object Modeling o Experience in building robust and scalable infrastructure architectures GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES o Knowledge of FIS products and services o Knowledge of financial services industry o Multiple years of working experience in agile development including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe o Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc. o Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors o Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills o Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take o Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed o Positive outlook, strong work ethic and responsive to internal and external customers and contacts o Willingly and successfully fulfills the role of teacher, mentor and coach o May require a thorough understanding of design patterns and their application o May require a thorough understanding of micro-services, Docker Containers, REST APIs, and other cloud native technology patterns. o May require a fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams, class models, etc. o May require in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices Job ID #: JR56262

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
