Senior Project Manager - Data Center Moves

Our high-visibility client has an immediate opening for a Senior Level Project Manager to?provide data center activities. Plan and migrate the infrastructure from one data center to another client data center, and perform certain tasks, functions, and activities associated with the moves.
Tasks to include:?

  • Validation of current state infrastructure and application dependency mapping

  • Migration planning: migration, virtualization, retirement planning, and move group planning

  • Physical relocation of the current infrastructure into the new data center

  • Clean-up and decommission of the remaining devices, including hard drive destruction


  • Technical Project Management skills?

  • Microsoft Project experience

  • PowerPoint experience to create QUADs and Presentations

  • Service Center Knowledge, especially creating Incident Tickets and RFCs

  • Communications skills?

  • General knowledge of Data Center Activation / Coordination / Moves

    1. Virtual to Virtual (V2V) migrations

    2. Physical to Virtual (P2V) migrations

    3. Physical migrations (P2P)?

    4. Client Processes

  • Knowledge of Data Center design & requirements

    1. Racks

    2. U Measurements

    3. Cabling (e.g., Network, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS, etc.)

    4. Power

  • Ability to develop Migration Planning Run Books

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
