About the Position We are currently seeking an Aerospace & Medical Product Manager reporting to the Commercial Director to focus on the continued support of customers and search for new opportunities. Emphasis will be on the Aerospace and Medical markets with development into adjacent market sectors. Primary Responsibilities o Leadership in the definition, implementation and delivery of the strategic plans for the Aerospace and Medical markets. Active contribution to the future global manufacturing footprint. o Achieve profitability, sales growth, price management, and inventory control as a critical member of the commercial team. o Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, research and design engineering to successfully develop new products and customer offering. o Manage the product and customer interface, including pricing levels, product availability, and quality to ensure consistent delivery of high levels of customer service from quote to cash. o Manage product strategies throughout the product life cycle, including product launch and life cycle declines. o Understand the value proposition of our products and their applications o Maximize value of existing products collaboratively with manufacturing and sales teams by identifying opportunities and bringing the ingredients of the winning recipe together. o Identify opportunities to modify products that add customer value to increase sales and margin. o Visit key customers in conjunction with the sales team to provide in-depth product knowledge. Position Requirements:
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing. o 5 years experience in sales or other customer-facing roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment o Experience in the Aerospace or Medical industry o Combination of technical aptitude and consultative capabilities with a commercial focus, including technical marketing and application engineering o Experience in the metals industry, preferably tubing, with a willingness to further the technical knowledge of the manufacturing process o Good project and time management skills o Strong verbal and written communication skills o Excellent customer relationship skills o History of setting aggressive targets and meeting business goals through team interaction and involvement o Understanding cost and profit drivers o Proficient computer skills /CRM experience. o Willing to lead direct and multifunctional matrix teams o Able to work independently with little direction or supervision o Ability to demonstrate critical values; vision, driving change, communication, integrity, and commitment to team success. Preferred Skill requirements o Product management experience/skillset o Strategic relationship-building skills that focus on the customer's critical agenda issues. o Established relationships with decision makers in aerospace or medical markets o Professional acumen that can be built upon for broader leadership roles o Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Brand Marketing & Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
